We only ask for what we need to make your tees and get them to you. This page explains what that is, what happens to it, and the choices you have. Monkey & Son Ltd runs WonderKlaus and looks after this information.

The camera lens

Our lens turns the person wearing a WonderKlaus tee into their character, through your phone’s camera.

• The camera only switches on after you press start and your phone asks your permission. You can say no, or turn it off again in your phone’s settings.
• Faces are processed on your phone, and nothing is stored. Spotting the tee and following the face both happen on the device itself. The camera picture is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we don’t keep it.
• The lens doesn’t recognise who anyone is. It only follows where a face is and how it moves, so the character can move with it.
• Photos and videos you take with the lens stay on your phone. We never receive them unless you choose to send them to us. If you share one, it goes wherever you send it, and that app’s own privacy rules apply.
• The lens is loaded from our own website, so no other company sees you using it.

What we collect when you order

• Your contact and order details: your email address, the name and address the parcel goes to, and what you ordered.
• Payment: handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We’re told whether the payment worked and a few details such as the card type and last digits. We never see or keep your full card number.
• Your bag: what you’ve put in your bag is saved in your own browser, so it’s still there as you look around. See our cookie policy.
• Basic technical details your browser sends to any website, such as your IP address and the type of device and browser, which keep the site running and safe.

What we use it for

• Making, sending and tracking your order.
• Answering you when you write to us.
• Stopping fraud and keeping the site secure.
• Keeping the records the law asks of us, such as for tax.

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell your information.

Our legal reasons

Where data protection law such as the UK or EU GDPR applies, we use your information to carry out our contract with you (your order), for our legitimate interest in running a safe shop, with your consent where we ask for it, and to meet our legal duties.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:

• Stripe, to take payment.
• Our print and fulfilment partner, who prints your tees and posts them (they get the delivery name and address and what to print).
• The companies that host our website, so it can run.

Some of them may handle information outside your country. Where they do, they’re bound by the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.

Children

Our tees come in children’s sizes, but orders are placed by grown-ups, and we don’t knowingly collect information from children. Children can enjoy the lens with a grown-up, and because nothing from the camera leaves the phone, we never receive pictures of them.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need to deliver your order, help with any problems, and meet tax and accounting rules. After that we delete them or remove anything that identifies you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, or take a copy with you. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Just write to us. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

If we change this page, the newest version will always be here, with its date at the top.
